Yoga & Climb Arco - Italy
What to expect?
Do you want to combine climbing, regeneration and relaxation – and do it in one of Europe’s most beautiful climbing areas? Then Arco on Lake Garda is just right: around a six‑hour drive from Graz and 2.5 hours from Innsbruck, with limestone cliffs, a Mediterranean climate, palm trees and turquoise water.
This isn’t a “course” in the classic sense with a set prerequisite and goal. Instead it’s about exploring exceptional rock together, working on your individual goals and being professionally guided by us – and also taking a holiday. We tailor everything to your needs, choose sectors based on level and weather conditions and adapt daily to your objectives – whether you’re focusing on technique, strength, mental training or falling practice.
What makes this trip special: certified yoga instructor Vale leads us every morning with a targeted activation and breathwork session to prepare for the rock, and every evening with a deep regeneration session that restores your body and calms your mind. It’s not spa‑style yoga, but yoga that’s really made for climbing.
About Arco:
Arco is considered one of the best-known climbing regions in Europe and sits on the northern tip of Lake Garda in Italy’s Trentino region. With more than 1,500 routes across all grades – from level 4 up into the high 9s – there’s something for every climber. The sectors around Arco offer shady and sunny walls, short approaches and a unique landscape of rock faces, olive groves and the turquoise lake. Thanks to its mild climate, Arco is also an ideal destination in October – warm daytime temperatures and pleasant evenings in the town.
Requirements:
You don’t need any prior yoga experience – Vale’s sessions are designed specifically for climbers and require no previous knowledge. For the climbing itself, you don’t necessarily need to have climbed outdoors before, but you should have some basic climbing and belaying experience or have taken one of our courses and be able to climb a grade‑four route. It doesn’t matter whether you lead or top‑rope, and it’s absolutely fine to take breaks – after all, we’re on holiday. If you’re not sure whether you meet these requirements, just send us a message or give us a call.
How to get there?
Arco is about a six‑hour drive from Graz, or two and a half hours from Innsbruck. Travelling by your own car is the simplest option, although we’re happy to connect you with others for carpooling and also have room for passengers ourselves. If you come by public transport, the nearest train stations are Rovereto or Trento – we’re happy to pick you up from either of these.
Accomodation:
We have pre‑reserved rooms for you at the Bed & Breakfast La Finestra in Cavedine. The accommodation is centrally located among the climbing areas and is also not far from Arco. Breakfast is included, and many climbing sectors as well as Lake Cavedine are easily accessible. To keep things simple, book and pay directly with the B&B – €51.50 per night per person. After you register, we will send you all the contact details you need to make your reservation. Of course, you are free to find other accommodation nearby that suits your taste and budget – we’ll be happy to help with that.
